Classic cars-memories of better times

Classic cars are known and popular among the people for their boundless beauty, rarity and engineering. Although you might have heard about a number of classics that have captivated the hearts of people worldwide but the Imperials, Lincolns and Packards are some of the most famous American classics. Insurance for these classic cars can be found to protect your most treasurables.

I am sure you might have heard about the 1930-1932 Lincoln V-8 Models L/K/KA which are famous to this day. The 1921 Model L was replaced by a better version Model K. It was indeed unique and a modernized version since it featured torque-tube drive, floating rear axle, worm-and-roller steering, and hydraulic shocks. Even more such models came up with prices that were as high as $7,400. The best part about these models were that these were recognized CCCA Classics and had custom bodies. However there were some cons which were associated with this series. The cars were quite expensive and it was difficult for the common people to use and maintain them. Besides, they also required immense improvement as there was some or the other problem associated with their parts.

Another gem that was loved by people during the 1930-1932 era was the Packard Eight. It had a multitude of features which were loved by people including its phaeton, roadster, and convertible styles as well as the most interesting of all the Speedster of 1930. Besides, it had a strong club support and also held a CCCA Classic status. However some of the cons of the series were that it was quite costly and had handsome operating costs.

Imperial became popular during 1955-1956 and is Chrysler's best car. The amazing car was designed by Virgil Exner. Some of the basic features of the car were that it had a big split eggcrate grille at the front, gunsight taillights at the rear, and also had flowing body lines with fully radiused rear wheel openings in the middle. The car had its own good and bad aspects. Some of its pros were that it had a nice styling and was known for its great quality control. However one of the disadvantages of the car was that the handing and braking was not up to the horsepower.

In fact, other than these there were the sports cars which are loved by all. These cars were not far behind in the race. The era was completely spiced up with a lot of technical innovation and growth which led to the emergence of the sports cars. In fact there are also the classic muscle cars which are popularly known as the high-performance vehicles. What adds to their functionality is the fact that these are equipped with powerful engines and the Chevelles, Chargers, Mustangs, Road Runners and GTOs come under this category.

We can't imagine a world without these today. Though in today's world of technology more and more improved versions are coming up in the market. You can find many of these newer version on Laurent Van Dessel's car blog, yet the classic cars are still popular among the people due to a unique appeal about them.
